We wanted to update you on the new precautions we have taken to protect the Fox Hill community from the coronavirus. On March 12, we closed all dining venues, cancelled all group activities, and limited visitors to Fox Hill. We now announce:
- As of 5:00 p.m. today, Fox Hill will extend its precautions by prohibiting visitors to the community. The Managing Director may make exceptions for families of residents who are gravely ill or at the end of life.
- Fox Hill has also expanded its daily screening of staff and private aides to include mandatory temperature checks.
There are no known cases of the coronavirus at Fox Hill at this time. We are taking these additional steps to achieve the maximum benefit from our efforts to prevent the virus from being introduced into the community.
In the meantime, our residents are taking these changes in stride, literally. Many are walking our beautiful grounds and taking in the blooming crocuses, many returning migrating birds and the forsythia bushes that are ready open. We have set up tables and chairs on the patio for people to get more fresh air, and we have doubled our exercise classes. Later this week we will be rolling out an all-day café take out system for our residents.
We want to thank the residents and their families for their extraordinary support and cooperation this past week. We wish you all continued good health and we will continue to update you as warranted.
