A dedicated board of directors comprised entirely of residents represents community-wide opinions and interests, while an experienced team of managers is responsible for day-to-day operations and future development. Working together toward a common goal, these two groups chart the path for our community.

President

Bob moved to  Fox Hill Village in 2022, having previously lived on Nantucket Island and in Lexington, MA. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Bob received his degree in chemical engineering from Villanova University. He then moved to Maryland to work for W.R. Grace, a chemicals business. He spent the rest of his career in Lexington, MA where he met his wife, Karen.

During almost 40 years at W.R. Grace, Bob held many roles including sales, marketing and research and development. He led the growth of different divisions through strategic planning, restructuring, eliminating outmoded products, and developing new products. Following his retirement in 2006 as Senior Vice President, Bob consulted with private equity and corporate clients, providing pre­acquisition strategy and post-acquisition management coaching. After his wife Karen died in 2017, he moved from Lexington to his summer home in Nantucket. Bob has served on the Boards of St. Francis House in Boston, the Cambridge Trust Company, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Associated Industries of MA. He has served on the Fox Hill Village Finance Committee and Strategic Planning Committee.

William Gundy

Vice President

William “Bill” grew up in Rye, New York as the second of four boys who all went to Dartmouth College. He began his career at IBM in sales, focusing on the major banks in Boston. He assumed management positions in two different computer start-up companies before moving to State Street Bank: first as Division Head of Master Trust, servicing large pension plans, then as EVP, member of the Chairman’s Office, and Area Head of the Mutual Fund Services business. He later joined PwC as a Managing Director in the Investment Management Practice.

Bill has served as a trustee of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and in leadership positions in condo associations and charitable organizations in Vero Beach, Florida and New London, New Hampshire. Bill and his wife, Malora, moved to Fox Hill in 2020. They have 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to serving on the Fox Hill Finance Committee and Strategic Planning Committee, Bill sings in the Fox Hill chorus and with the Boston Saengerfest Men’s Chorus. He enjoys golf, tennis, pool and skiing.

 

Al De Florio

Treasurer

Al is a New Haven native with degrees in electrical engineering from Cornell. After serving as a U.S. Army Lieutenant, he began a long career at IBM in marketing and communications, followed by leadership roles at The Hastings Center, Addison Wesley, and Queens College, where he was VP of Information Systems.

In retirement, Al served in leadership roles with his Connecticut condo association, the Marstons Mills Public Library on Cape Cod, and the Resident Advisory Council at The Pinehills in Plymouth. He and his wife, Donna, moved to Fox Hill in 2020, and he has served on the Finance Committee since 2021 and serves on the Strategic Planning Committee.  In his free time, Al enjoys traveling the world with Donna, listening to classical music, and following current affairs.

Secretary and General Counsel

Heather joined the firm of Bingham, Dana & Gould following graduation from law school, and subsequently became Associate General Counsel at Mass. General Hospital. Heather has been very active in community affairs, serving as the Chair of the Wellesley Advisory (Finance) Committee and as Wellesley Town Moderator for many years.  She has served on the Boards of the Wellesley Free Library Foundation, The Wellesley Club, and the Community Fund for Wellesley, Inc.  Gov. Baker appointed Heather to the MA Advisory Council on Alzheimer’s Disease and All Other Dementias. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the Hastings Center, focusing on ethical issues  in healthcare.  She is a graduate of Smith College, Northeastern University School of Law, and the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health where she earned her MA in Health Policy

Martin Broder, MD

Martin Broder, MD

Martin was born in Brooklyn and raised in Detroit. He earned his M.D. from Case Western Reserve after graduating from Wayne State, and completed residencies and fellowships in Chicago, Cleveland, London, and Washington, D.C. A cardiologist, he spent most of his career in academic hospitals, caring for patients and training medical students, and served as Department Chair.

An amateur singer, Martin has performed with major orchestras and enjoys reading poetry and prose in Yiddish and 19th-century English. He serves on the Board of the Yiddish Book Center and was Board Chair of Jewish Family Service of Western Massachusetts. Martin moved to Fox Hill in 2021 with his wife Marian, who passed away in 2023. He serves on the Health and Wellness and Speakers Series Committees.

Ellen O'Flaherty

Ellen O'Flaherty

Ellen earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Yale.  She moved to Cincinnati with her husband Tom, where she became the head of the graduate program in toxicology at the University of Cincinnati.  She has published a single-author textbook, and over 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her math-based models for regulatory standard setting of bone-seeking toxicants, like lead and calcium, were adopted worldwide.  Ellen served as the second woman president of the Yale Club and was on the Vestry of her church.  Upon her retirement, Ellen and Tom moved to Lyon, France. They returned to the US in 2004 and moved to Fox Hill in 2016.

At Fox Hill, Ellen serves on the Library Committee and Speakers’ Selection Committee.  Ellen writes regularly for Fox Hill’s magazine, “The Fox.”  She spearheaded the Legacy Letter writing group and the Genealogy Committee and is a member of the Building and Grounds and Health and Wellness Committees.

Robert Forsberg

Robert Forsberg

Bob who moved to Fox Hill in 2017. He was the founder of two and the CEO of three corporations in the electronics industry.  A long-time resident of Westwood, Mr. Forsberg and his family have been  very involved in Lifeworks, Inc., an organization supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Bob graduated from Bowdoin College, received an MBA from Northeastern University.  He subsequently completed the Owner President Management Program at the Harvard Business School.  He served for many years on the boards of Old Colony YMCA and Beckett-Chimney Corners YMCA camp. Bob has served on the Finance Committee and as Treasurer of the  Cooperative.

 

Nancy Grover

Nancy Grover

Nancy was a  lifelong Hartford, CT resident. She is a Vassar graduate, she began her career teaching Art History at the University of Hartford. She later held leadership roles at Miss Hall’s School and the Mark Twain House, serving as Director of Development, trustee, and Acting Director.  With a focus on governance and strategic planning, Nancy has chaired the boards of the Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, and Trinity College’s Watkinson Library.

She also served on national museum boards, including the AAM Trustee Ethics Committee and the Museum Trustee Association. Before moving to Fox Hill, she chaired the Health Services Committee at Seabury, a CCRC in CT. Nancy and her late husband, Rob, were avid travelers, chamber music supporters, and collectors of contemporary photography—now housed at the Yale University Art Gallery, with which she remains actively involved. At Fox Hill, she volunteers at Birch Grove Assisted Living, leads the World of Art group, and serves on the Speakers and New Yorker committees as well as the Strategic Planning Committee.

 

Dr. Joseph Martin

Dr. Joseph Martin

Dr. Martin was born in Bassano, Alberta, Canada, and earned an M.D. at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He completed a residency in neurology and neuro-pathology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and obtained a Ph.D. in Anatomy at the University of Rochester.  His first academic appointment was at McGill University, Montreal, CA, where he was appointed Chair of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Montreal Neurological Institute. He subsequently joined the faculty of Harvard Medical School and chaired the Department of Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He founded the department’s Center Without Walls for Huntington’s Disease.

Dr. Martin joined the University of California, San Francisco as Dean of the School of Medicine, where after four years he was appointed Chancellor of the UCSF Campus. Joe continues to serve Harvard Medical School as Professor Emeritus of Neurobiology. He has served on the board of Sherrill House, in Jamaica Plain, and is a long-serving member of the board of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.  Joe and his wife Rachael moved from Brookline to Fox Hill in May 2022 where he has served as served as part Healthcare Task Force, the Health and Wellness and the Compensation Committes.

Fred Filoon

Fred Filoon

Fred Filoon was born in Boston and raised in Brockton, MA. A graduate of Milton Academy and Bowdoin College, he served in the U.S. Army Reserves while beginning his career in finance. After completing Citibank’s training program, Fred spent nearly 20 years at Alliance Capital Management, becoming Vice President, and later served as Partner and Executive Vice President at Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn until retiring in 2008.

He held leadership roles in Greenwich, CT, including Chair of the City’s Public Pension Board, President of the Round Hill Club, and Trustee of Round Hill Community Church. In Ketchum, ID, he was Treasurer of the YMCA, where he remains a Board member. Fred and his wife, Randi, moved to Fox Hill in 2022, where he serves on the Reserve Funds Management and Finance Committees.

Felix Rosenwasser

Chief Executive Officer

Felix has over 20 years’ experience in the senior living industry and a proven track record of strong leadership and outstanding operational results.  In the past he served as Vice President of Business Planning and Analysis for a multisite senior living provider in California, President and CEO of a Life Plan Community in New Jersey, and most recently as the Executive Director of a premier Life Plan Community in Washington, D.C.  He earned dual Masters’ degrees, one in Business Administration and one in Science and Mechanical Engineering, from Odesa Polytechnic University, Ukraine.   He also received a Candidate in Philosophy from Odessa State University and holds Masters’ Certificates in Leadership and Senior Care Management from Rutgers University.  Felix serves as Treasurer for a non-profit chess school where he enjoys assisting talented young chess players in accomplishing their dreams.

John P. Sannella, CPA

Interim Chief Financial Officer

John has over 30 years of experience providing assurance and advisory services exclusively to the healthcare and not-for-profit industry including various senior care organizations. John’s experience includes the provision of accounting and regulatory advisory services for continuing care retirement communities, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and residential care facilities. He also provides guidance on the improvement of internal controls including recommendations for efficiency in financial processes and procedures. For the past ten years, through the establishment of Sannella & Associates, John has provided outsourced CFO services, accounting and financial reporting for small to medium organizations. Prior to establishing SA, John was a partner and a member of the national healthcare industry leadership group within the Boston office of an international accounting firm. John obtained a BS in Accounting from Boston College and a MS in Taxation from Bentley College.  John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Nonprofit Section, the Not-For-Profit Committee of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, the finance committee of the Salem Country Club and the Finance Council of St. Theresa’s Church of North Reading. He lives in North Reading with his wife, son and golden retriever and enjoys golf and spending time with his granddaughter.

Sarah Anne Pompeo

Sarah came to Fox Hill Village in 2019 with over 25 years of management experience in the independent, assisted and memory care senior living industries. She has an extensive background in sales, business operations and resident services.  Sarah became the Broker of Record for Fox Hill Village in 2024 and has been a MA real estate agent since 2020.  She became a designated REALTOR® from the Massachusetts Association of Realtors® in 2022 and is a Seniors Real Estate Specialist®. Sarah has a BA in Sociology with a concentration in death and dying from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH and a Master’s of Business Administration from Simmons University, Boston, MA.  Her passion of assisting and advocating for the elderly came from the deep love she had for her grandparents at a very young age.  She lives in Walpole, MA with her husband and two college age children and enjoys practicing yoga and heading to the lake in New Hampshire.

Robert Kelly

Director of Resident Services

Bob joined the Fox Hill Village team in 1999.  He has over 35 years of management experience in the hospitality and senior living industries.  He assists residents as soon as they move in with resident orientations and is eager to provide residents with the best customer service possible.  He and his programming team helps keep residents educationally, culturally, physically, and socially engaged.  A graduate of the Southern New Hampshire University Hotel Management and a Tourism program, Bob also regularly participates in LeadingAge trainings for aging services providers. Bob lives in Shrewsbury, MA with his wife and two accomplished adult daughters.  He has a love of sports, both watching and playing them.

Director of Health Services

Jerachmeelle joined the Fox Hill Village Leadership Team in 2024. Her expertise includes Home Health Services, the Program for All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE), and Community Health. Previously she was the Associate Director of Nursing at a Federally Qualified Community Health Center in Brockton, MA. Jerachmeelle received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from UMass Amherst, and a master’s degree in nursing leadership from UMass Dartmouth. She’s a Certified Holistic Nutritional Counselor and American Heart Association Certified Basic Life Support Instructor. Her mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of the residents at Fox Hill Village! Born and raised in Massachusetts, Jerachmeelle lives in Brockton, MA with her husband. When not mentoring other health care professionals, she finds inspiration in Scripture, solace in travel, and enjoys immersing herself in nature and culinary delights.

Ray joined Fox Hill Village in 2015, and has extensive management experience in construction, maintenance and property management, including work for numerous major hotel chains. He is responsible for the impeccable maintenance of over 700,000 square feet of buildings on Fox Hill’s property.

Director of Health & Wellness Center

Christine came to Fox Hill in early 2023 as we re-opened our Health and Wellness Center. Christine received her BS in nursing from Framingham State College and then received her MSN as an adult/geriatric NP from Regis College in 2021. She has been a registered nurse for 24 years and most of her career has been through several locations throughout the Mass General Brigham system.  Christine is also a Certified Tobacco Cessation Specialist.  She has had several publications in the American Journal of Cardiology and Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and Prevention.  Christine’s goal is to support the residents of Fox Hill Village during all stages of their life.   Christine lives in Wrentham, MA with her husband and five sons.  She has two dogs and a cat named Duke.  In her free time, Christine enjoys being with her family, being outdoors, exercising and reading.

Linda Riley

Director of Fitness

Linda came to Fox Hill Village in spring of 2020 and joined the Leadership Team in 2023. Linda has over 20 years of experience within the health and wellness senior living field. She graduated with a bachelor’s in sociology and gerontology, received certifications for Personal Training, Group Exercise, Wellcoaching, aquatic therapy, and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Linda takes pride in being involved with LeadingAge (a global organization representing aging service providers) and mentoring other senior living employees across the state through the LeadingAge Leadership Academy, which she graduated from in 2015. With Linda’s Vitalize 360℠ certification, she is motivating our residents to achieve their personal goals and live more vibrant lives. Linda lives in Medfield, MA with her husband, two teenagers and Golden Retriever, Brody. She enjoys coaching field hockey, running, strength training, fitness classes, and walking with friends.

As a member of the Fox Hill Village culinary team since 2023, Josh brings a lifelong passion for exceptional food and five-star service. With extensive experience as a chef in LA, San Francisco, and Colorado, as well as working with the renowned Barbara Lynch Collective, Josh consistently delivers excellence in food service. With international recognition as a published cookbook author and induction into the International Who’s Who of Chefs, Josh’s dedication to culinary excellence is evident in every daily offering at Fox Hill Village. Hailing from Brazil, Josh currently resides in Milton, MA with his wife, adult children, and beloved dog Lulu. In addition to his culinary pursuits, Josh enjoys staying active through travel, golfing, cooking, gardening, playing tennis, and completing crossword puzzles.

Rachel Evans

Rachel joined the Fox Hill Village Leadership Team in 2024 and has over 10 years’ experience in Human Resources and corporate/employment law. She received a bachelor’s degree in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), and JD from Boston University School of Law. Rachel has experience working in the HR department in many industries, including recruiting and healthcare, and is looking forward to supporting all the staff of Fox Hill Village. Born and raised in New York, Rachel is a transplant to Massachusetts and has settled here with her husband and three young children. Outside of work, she enjoys swimming with her kids, hiking, and volunteering in her community.

David Carreiro

Director of Accounting

With over 25 years of experience in the accounting field and a track record of success in various managerial roles, Dave brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. Since joining Fox Hill Village in 2022 as the Accounting Manager, Dave has proven his analytical abilities and attention to detail. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he was promoted to Director of Accounting in 2024. Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fitchburg State University and is dedicated to making a positive impact on our organization. When he’s not immersed in numbers and financial management, Dave enjoys coaching soccer and spending quality time with his family in Norwood, MA. We are proud to have him as a valuable member of our leadership team at Fox Hill Village.
