The Job:

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team. The Housekeeping Manger is responsible for leading and managing all housekeeping operations to ensure resident apartments, common areas, grounds, and parking facilities, are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety and resident satisfaction.

This position oversees housekeeping staff, departmental budgets, inventory, equipment, resident service requests, and special projects, while promoting a culture of exceptional customer service.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise housekeeping staff in the cleaning of resident apartments, common areas, interior and exterior, and parking facilities, to residents’ satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate, housekeeping personnel, including housekeepers and housemen.
  • Assign daily work schedules and ensure assignments are completed efficiently and to established quality standards.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and maintain open communication with team members.
  • Meet with new residents to provide apartment cleaning options.
  • Oversee, with a high attention to detail, all public areas, garage and grounds.
  • Create and maintain floor care programs for all types of Fox Hill flooring specific to manufacture specifications.
  • Create and manage Housekeeping annual budget.
  • Maintain and purchase all equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all furniture, upholstery and drapery specific to manufacture requirements throughout the common areas.
  • Inspect housekeeping carts to ensure all supplies are stocked and bottles are labeled and maintained as required by OSHA standards.
  • Inventory/Assess equipment and schedule repair service when necessary.
  • Oversee all resident e-mails and promptly respond and resolve any concerns.
  • Inspect daily resident units and common areas to assure cleanliness with a fine-tuned attention to detail.
  • Approve weekly time and attendance sheets.
  • Maintain ongoing preventative housekeeping and safety program.
  • Complete performance and salary reviews for all housekeeping department staff.
  • Adhere to all Fox Hill safety policies including state and federal requirements.
  • Be on call for all housekeeping department related issues.
  • Hold regular (monthly or quarterly) staff meetings.
  • Approve and submit all AP & AR invoices electronically to accounting department on weekly basis.

  • Must have the ability to communicate in English and preferably Spanish.

Supervisory Requirements:

  • Responsible for supervising and scheduling Housekeeping team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking 100% of the time, occasionally must be able to lift 50 plus pounds.
  • Occasionally able to move furniture for cleaning purposes, this can be a physically demanding job.

The Job:

We are seeking an experienced Assisted Living Administrator to join our team. As an Assisted Living Administrator, you will be responsible for the quality of service and oversight of our Small House Model Memory Care Unit – White Oak Cottages.

The Administrator coaches, directs and monitors the quality of service and the quality of life of the residents in White Oak Cottages (the “Cottages”) provided by nurses and CNAs  The Administrator must oversee regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness, monitoring and providing assistance to the team, directly or through the Nurse Manager.

  • Full-time: This position regularly requires a flexible work schedule, on-sight presence during or in advance of all known potential emergencies and may require the occasional weekend work.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate and participate in the Quality Improvement and Assurance Program to evaluate operations and services with the goal of improving services and operations and to assure resident health, safety and welfare on an annual basis.
  • Make daily visits to each cottage and engage with residents and staff
  • Review the schedules of the CNAs and Nurses to assure compliance with staffing requirements, regulations, and the organization’s policies.
  • Discuss observations/concerns about the care of the residents, housekeeping issues and dietary issues with the appropriate staff on regular basis.
  • Collaborate and work closely with FHV Sales, Housekeeping and Activities departments. 
  • Determine education, information, training, coaching, and feedback need of the  work teams and make arrangements for all required in-service training.
  • Review and coach the work team’s decision- making process and provide examples of effective approaches to decision making.
  • Work with Nurse Manager to monitor overall regulatory compliance.
  • Meet with families, conduct formal meetings, respond to all questions; coordinate review of all applications, participate in admissions meetings and decisions regarding applicants.
  • Family meetings should be within a week of admission and monthly thereafter.
  • Coordinate the orientation of any third-party providers: dental, podiatry, home health care agencies and hospice.
  • Participate in decisions regarding permanent or temporary transfers of residents.
  • Monitor budget to make sure goals are met.
  • In collaboration with Assisted Living Sales Manager, participate in marketing efforts,  lead referrals and admissions to White Oak Cottages

Supervisory Requirements:

  • Responsible to supervise CNAs and support team.  Work closely with Director of Life Enrichment, Manager of Housekeeping, and the Assisted Living Sales Manager.

The Job:

We are seeking Part-time Nurse (LPN or RN) at our premier senior living community to perform multiple care duties that contribute to the health, well-being, and quality of life for our residents.

Seeking a part time RN/ LPN: 24 hours/ week. 8 am – 4:30 pm during the week. Possible 1 weekend per month.

Nurses are responsible for monitoring resident needs, notifying the Nurse Manager of any changes observed in resident condition, and ensuring that all services outlined in the residents’ service plans are delivered with excellent quality, on time and with respect.

Nurses assist with all aspects of compliance with all state and local requirements. Nurses report to the Nurse Manager and work in collaboration with the CNA’s.

Pay starts at $36/hour and there is opportunity for an increased hourly pay wage dependent on experience and credentials.

Duties:
* Engage in regular communications with the CNA work team on each shift to obtain an update on each resident

* Review and monitor overall adequacy of each resident’s Individual Service Plan (ISP), ensure that each ISP is being administered properly.

*Provide assessment visits to residents who present symptoms or appear to have had a change in their condition. Use nursing judgement to determine if any resident needs prompt medical attention, provide emergency nursing care/first aid such as CPR, Heimlich Maneuver, AED Machine as necessary.

*Communicate follow up care to CNA work team as appropriate, report incidents/illnesses to family members in a timely manner.

* Work in Collaboration with CNAs as part of the overall self-managed work team.

*Maintain communications with physicians and home healthcare agencies providing services.

*Develop and implement strategies that promote person-center care.

*Assist with pharmacy medication delivery and observe or deliver medication in accordance with SAMM and LMA policies and procedures. Evaluate CNA compliance with SAMM protocols. Evaluate residents for independent, SAMM or LMA designation.

*Assist with pre-occupancy assessments and service plan coordination.

* Maintain emergency supplies and the safe condition of equipment, including mechanical lift.

* Monitor standard use of universal precautions.

The Job:

We are seeking a Wednesday – Saturday Food Coordinator at Birch Grove, the assisted living residence of our premier senior living community.

The responsibility of the Food Coordinator is to plan menus, and prepare and serve nutritious meals to the Residents. They will also coordinate food ordering, assure adequate supplies, monitor freshness of the food, and oversee kitchen compliance issues including cleanliness.

The Food Coordinator is also accountable for having meetings with the dietician to review the menus and for communicating food concerns to the Chef and the overall health care team. The Food Coordinator helps to identify areas for additional education around safe food handling and food preparation as well as needs for continued support in creating positive mealtime periods.

This is 40 hours temporary (3-6 months approx.) on-site position.

The schedule will be: 8am – 6:30pm, Wednesday – Saturday.

Duties:

  • Any task requested by leadership and staff that helps to ensure resident safety and security.
  • Recognize and respond to the needs of the residents.
  • Promote autonomy of residents in decision-making.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with co-workers at all levels to meet the needs of the residents.
  • Meet with nurses, dieticians or other health care providers as appropriate to discuss residents’ needs and progress in identifying and correcting problems.
  • Communicate with the Chef and plan weekly menus that meet established dietary guidelines.
